My monk is going to be a scribe and an alch. My feral on lightbringer will probably be a scribe and an alch. And my warlock on lightbringer will probably be a scribe and a tailor or engineer...can't decide. Could always make him and alch too!

I decided to make 60 DMF cards using my two scribes. Wasn't going to due to my dislike of milling, but then I remembered your macro. What a lifesaver. Did some card trading, and made 4 decks for my own use. The leftover cards when sold paid for all the mats.

Yeah - Forget glyths, gems and just about everything else. The DMF cards are the best moneymaker right now. 1000g+ profit per scribe per day. Got 4 alcheys, but the margins on living steel are crap. Should had switched to more scribes before MoP. Oh well - maybe next EXP.

So a couple things.

A friend of mine listens to the podcast and he told me, "you swear like a sailor the first few minutes of the podcast." I was surprised he said that because I don't think I swear that much. Then I listened to it...damn. While we are an adult podcast I think I went a little overboard there. I will try to be mindful of that in the future.

@Arg: Yeah we talk about the % on the FB page. I noticed that info as well.

@Shultz: Why are you benching your scribes? Do you mean you aren't leveling them because you don't have to or do you mean you don't plan to use them to make gold anymore?

Here is my milling macro I talked about on the podcast. You can do a similar thing with prospecting. Make sure you have autoloot turned on as an option.

/use Rain Poppy
/use Fool's cap
/use snow lily

Some good market info there I was unaware of. Was going to get into Darkmoon cards next week, but after listening to your milling segment I might bench my scribes......lol.

Certainly the DMF trinkets are very good, but atm I'm just looking for a way to iL470 (to access all the LFR's) spending as little as possible. With lousy LFR drops rates, (

I scoff at your scoffing of low-margin panther sales . I sell 1-3 panther mounts a week at 10%-20% margins, maybe 2k average profit each, for around 5 minutes a week of mat stocking, crafting, and relisting. This is on a JC toon who already stocks raw gems for multiple uses, and uses TSM to craft & relist things once or twice a day, so extra overhead for panthers is very minimal. I buy raw gems when they're unusually cheap, and occasionally shuffle ore myself (the shuffle is alive and well!). I buy a dozen orbs at a time to cut down on travel overhead. If you've got an excess of gold, why worry about tying up a quarter million gold in liquid assets?

Two notes on your milling discussion:

#1 Bountiful Bags guild perk "increases the quantity of materials gained from Mining, Skinning, Herbalism, and Disenchanting by 15%." It doesn't cover milling or prospecting, since it already boosted herbalism and mining.

#2 When wowhead says milling gives 1-3 pigments, it's not always even odds for for getting 1, 2, or 3 pigments. Hover your mouse over the percentage on the right side of wowhead's milling data for the breakdown. Shadow Pigments are evenly distributed, Misty Pigments are not. For Green Tea Leaf, it lists Misty Pigment as "1-3" with a 25% chance, but if you hover over the 25%, it says "Stack of 1: 24%, Stack of 2: 0.7%, Stack of 3: 0.6%."

Thanks for making the podcasts; great entertainment, and I always learn some useful tips!

@Shultz, I love the no flying to 90. In some ways, it sucked. Taking off for the first time was an incredible feeling, and because I couldn't drop in, grab 6 bear butts, then fly out, I had to actually be mindful of the world around me.

Heroics seem perfectly tuned. If you ignore mechanics, you die. If you do them, you live.

The scenarios are worthless beyond measure. Without. Worth.

Our next show is coming in a couple days. We did not participate in the Beta, so it's taken us a bit to get settled into the world and figure shit out.

This episode was more of a Cata recap...I just kept in our thoughts of what was going to go on in MoP to show our amazing prognosticating powers since a lot of our predictions came true.

Also, the expansion and it's punishing grinds really kept me from editing it.

A good show as usual. I was however hoping for something recent as this appears to have been recorded over a month ago.

So it's been a month of MoP so far, and I'm just about burned out on daily quests. Don't really need them anyway. A lot of prof mats and VP gear is now available earlier than at launch.

Getting to L90 is very fast. Early quests are good, later quests mostly standard collect this/kill that fare. No flying until 90 certainly adds to the atmosphere of leveling.

For profs, I haven't done any BlkSmth stuff, but the others are mostly easy to lvl. Alchemy by discoveries - easy. Mats cheap. Ore a bit pricey first 2 weeks, but now cheap, so Jewelcrafting, and living steel transmutes are easy. Tailoring not so good - all recipes gated behind dailies. Scribing - not bad. Made the epic BoA int staff. Engineering gated behind spirits of harmony.

5-Man heroics very good - quick, not too hard, and thus suitable for pugs. LFR is tougher than Cata, but doable. The 2nd half of vaults is a challenge to complete Sun/Mon, with many players stuck on the last boss encounter. Will become easier very quickly as plp gear up. Summit world boss 'sha' very pugable. 40 man raid, and an easy kill for any group around iL460. Quest item on 1st kill awards BoP iL476 boots. Drops are the same iLvl as Normal raids with occasional Pvp drops. Basically a replacement for the non existent pvp zone raid.

Scenarios? Apart from an easy iL450 weapon from the 'Arena' scenario to get you started after dinging L90, the rest are a waste of time. No drops, not much VP, and almost no chance for an iL463 item at completion. I'd done 20 of these, and got nothing. Don't bother trying to gear up on these - Just complete all the dread wastes quests, and you can go straight to 5-mans. If you pop Theramore and no one has a tank pet or plate gear, just leave and save yourself a big repair bill.

Can't wait to hear the next show for some feedback on the current market.

I do PVP at lower levels. Once I hit like 49 I stop. I never really tested it out but I always felt like leveling via PVP was the slowest form of leveling. So while I understand the your point of getting honor and converting it to justice, if it takes you 8 more hours to reach level 85 because PVP is a slower form of leveling then you are better served getting to 85 faster and using that 8 hours grinding dungeons to cap out your justice and get honor.

All of this assumes that I am correct that PVP is the slowest form of leveling which I can't prove. Maybe I will test things out on my warlock and feral that are in the 50s and 60s and get back to you guys.

Chris is absolutely wrong about PVP while leveling. You should always do bgs. It's fairly easy to cap out honor, if I was able to do it, and converting 4000 honor to justice on a level 81 character, is simply the easiest way to go.

Hey Sam,

Yeah if we had you as a guest spot we would need to find a new rating on iTunes for us...not sure "explicit" would be a suitable warning lol. Besides once the listeners heard a girl's voice on the show, I'm not sure they would want to hear us talk anymore.

I know you are a new listener and have only heard one or two episodes but have you or any guildmates ever tried an addon called Ovale Spell Priority? If not, I strongly recommend it. I use it for all my dps and tanking toons. Based on my own experience with guildmates and myself, I believe that addon adds about 5k dps to most players. I had several players in my Lightbringer guild try it and almost across the board that was the improvement they saw.

Just last night I downloaded the newest update for it in the middle of a raid I was doing (not a smart idea btw). When I reloaded my UI just before pulling heroic DW, I didn't realize it but it blew out my Ovale and I didn't have it for the entire fight. I did 38k on that attempt. For the next attempt I had Ovale and did 47k dps. It is arguably my favorite addon tied with TradeSkillMaster, which has a completely different utility for me.

If you need help setting it up, let me know. It only takes 2-3 minutes at most to set it up but its worth it.

HAHA I remember that.. "nice warm glass of STFU" that was MY RAIIIIID u were in! We kicked that moron from the guild. I can't stand ppl that can't take a bit of advice, especially when there is all the information out there now days (noxxic, etc).. there is kind of no excuse to fail at WoW. It's certainly not hard. We tried two people out for a couple weeks, took them to the site, told them how to play, gave them the gems, reforging, etc... they just didn't get it.. some people just don't GET it and it's frustraaaaating! BTW: When do I get my mouthy guest spot in this podcast? haha.. you'll need a lot of bleeps though. Haha jk jk nice job guys xox

We tried two people out for a couple weeks, took them to the site, told them how to play, gave them the gems, reforging, etc… they just didn’t get it.. some people just don’t GET it and it’s frustraaaaating! BTW: When do I get my mouthy guest spot in this podcast? haha.. you’ll need a lot of bleeps though. Haha jk jk nice job guys xox

Most memorable quest? Can be part of a questline, but award will be given to single quest.

Rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock btw.
Scissors cuts paper
Paper covers rock
Rock crushes lizard
Lizard poisons Spock
Spock smashes scissors
Scissors decapitates lizard
Lizard eats paper
Paper disproves Spock
Spock vaporizes rock
And as always, rock crushes scissors

So our next podcast will have to be our Cata Golden Martini episode. For those of you who have no idea what that is, our 5th episode ever we did an awards show for WotLK. We came up with categories and selected winners and honorable mentions.

Right now, we would likely do:

Best raid,
Best raid boss,
Best voice acting,
Best questline,
Best addition to the game,
Worse addition to the game,
Best questing zone,
Best dungeon,
Best dungeon boss,

I am sure Ryan will have a few additions to the list. We're interested in some categories you guys are interested in hearing us discuss. Let us know!

I like how we talk about how we don't do any advertising in the podcast and then Podbean slips one in on us without letting us know. At least, I think they didn't let us know...

Great show guys. A long podcast was just the thing to get me through a long nightshift at the office.

re: Book of glyth mastery, I recall reading a blue post stating that Northrend research will now cover all the glyths which were previously learned exclusively from that book.

I personally am very disappointed to see no L90 normal 5-mans in Mists. It's just another example of blizz saying they are giving us more things to do and more choices, but at the same time they take others away. Not that I did many at L85, but they were handy when 4.3 hit, as the justice points from them bought iL378 gear for almost any slot, allowing entry into LFR without having to do the DS 5-man heroics. I personally found all the Cata 5-man heroics much harder than LFR, and much less enjoyable. In Mists you will be able to buy L90 gear with justice points, but have no way to earn justice points at L90? Doesn't make sense to me. On top of that, you can't buy any gear with valor. So those hard to fill slots which never drop, (e.g. Rings!!) either spend big on the AH or do without.

Saw a good post in mmo champ forums regarding soloing raids. Logon to the blizz website. Add a trial account to your existing account. (Takes a few seconds) Logon to your trial account, and level a toon to 10 on the same realm & faction you wish to raid. (Takes about 30 mins) Now start a second instance of wow, logon to your paid account, invite the L10 from your main, and convert to raid. Shutdown the trial account wow instance. You can now enter any raid you want. Trial accounts never expire, so you'll never have to find a friend to raid again.

You're right about D3. What a massive grind that game is. I haven't even made it to L60 yet - doing 3rd difficulty act 2 on a L55 toon now. Soloing is painful - grouping is better, however deaths are very frequent....pvp frequent, with the added bonus of big repair bills. A quick look at the public games tells the story - For a L55 the typical players on each quest is now under 20. Only a month ago this was in the 1000's.

Nick,

Thanks for the feedback and for 'putting your name on it' That's a favorite quote of mine from a podcast I listen to, and I find I listen to people a lot more when the anonymity of the internet is stripped away.

This is how Facebook pounded Myspace into the dust.

As to your comment, I appreciate your desire for a SFW podcast, but if you go to iTunes, you will see that we have marked all our podcasts from the jump as 'Explicit'. And we have been. I've dropped the word 'cunt' three times in one sentence, and I can't seem to find a better word to describe the assholes in wow, than asshole.

I remember listening to Howard Stern when I had a college internship Disney. I worked out at the pool cabana, and I knew what I was listening to, and when people showed up to get towels, I turned down the radio. I wish I could've paused it, but it was 1998 and podcasts weren't even a gleam in Steve Jobs eye.

I certainly don't want you to get in trouble at work, but the podcast will continue to remain NSFW, only because it will continue to remain uncensored and honest.

Thanks for the feedback,
Ryan
