Despite Ryan trying to be a better citizen of Azeroth, he keeps running into people who buy into the above philosophy.

Welcome back listeners,

This week our hosts discuss what they've been up to in preparation for patch 4.2  Ryan has become a Pokemon trainer, using Petopia's guide to rare and unique pets in Azeroth.   Chris has jumped guilds, and advises listeners how to deal with joining a guild that is far more progressed than you are.

Here are 2 of the pets: Ashtail & Olm the Wise

If you want to see complicated, here is the Elitist Jerks forum for Marksman hunters.  Keep this in mind, the next time some blowhard asshat tells you they can perform the calculations better than Elitist Jerks.

For those who don't believe it, here is the Baradin Hold where the hunter completely owned Pit Lord Argaloth.

Mount Alert: The Winged Guardian goes on sale this week.  Not for nothing, but it looks incredible.

Courtesy of the tireless work of MMO-Champion, here are the Firelands will feature 3 vendors, who all have completely different sets of gear.  Don't pick the wrong one, or you will be completely screwed. (No pressure)

Here is the Dev Watercooler blog where they do the post-mortem on Talent trees.  Let us know in the comments or on the Warcraft Lounge Facebook page, which 31 point talent you think is A) the best and B) the worst.

As always, the link to the Patch 4.2 notes.  (If you've been nerfed, tough shit.  Build a bridge and get over it.)

At Chris's recommendation, here is Learn to Raid and Tankspot.  These two resources will serve as excellent starting and ending points for the beginning, intermediate and hardcore raider.  Also, here is a picture of Aliena and a Papapaint audio clip.  If you haven't seen nor heard either...click you fool!

Thanks again for listening to our latest episode, you can get ahold of us on Twitter (@warcraftlounge) or on our Facebook page, and if you hop on over to iTunes and give us a 5-star review we'll mention you on the next podcast.

I don't mean to tell you how to play your DK, but I think you need to reforge for a bit more mastery.

Welcome back listeners and thanks for your patience; we actually recorded this podcast last Friday but thanks technical difficulties (Chris's iPhone sucks ass) we had to cut the podcast short.  Instead of scrapping it, or delaying it any further, we are releasing part one of this episode which ends rather abruptly, and we will pickup where we left off on Part 2 of this podcast to be published later on this week.

In this episode, we discuss professions for new characters - from a strictly PvE standpoint.  Which are essential for your first two characters, and help you the most as far as raiding is concerned and which profession is nearly impossible for new players to get involved with.

Where have all the DK's gone?  They were everywhere during Wrath but have vanished since Cataclysm...our hosts break down what might've happened to all of them.  (Here is the DK Tanking Compendium Chris references.)

Bilzzard has separated out the ZG/ZA instances; they've doubled the valor points, they've allowed them to be queued separately and they drop epic 353 items!  They've also changed the way the "daily" heroic is run; Chris and Ryan ponder the changes to guilds, raids, and which days might be best to use the Dungeon Finder.  See the official changes to the dungeon finder and heroics here.

Baradin Hold - It's not even close to VOA, but why?  Our hosts look at the difference between the two and temper their expectations for more gear.  Hear about class runs, how to get them started, and how Chris got in trouble for doing what he should've done anyway.

Sorry again for the technical difficulties and irregularity in our posting schedule; thanks for listening, and as always, please leave us 5-star reviews on iTunes (not Podbean) and you will get a shoutout on our next podcast.

Ryan (Lohrdook - Hydraxis, Dynam - Gilneas) & Chris (Doobee/Drakkmur - Hydraxis)

[In Part 2, we discuss: The newest Dungeon Finder Announcement (Tanks ftw!), 4.1 Archaeology changes, Guild Merges, Ghostcrawler's blog (and why I insist on calling him Guildcrawler), and finally, our Yay or Nay.]

This is a photo of the actual raid leader from the -50DKP video.  Is that really who you want keeping track of your loot?

Welcome back to Episode 14 of the Warcraft Lounge!  Blizzard has been doling out new information with an eyedropper, but we've managed to put it together for you in one spot.

Prices are plummeting!  Across the board, raw materials and finished goods are dropping in price.  Find out how to take advantage of the Bullwhip Effect on your server.

Here is the article from WoW Insider regarding what to do when someone is flipping all your BoEs.  Only follow the advice of the commenters if you're interested in losing all your gold in a most spectacular fashion.

Patch 4.1 continues on it's way.  Zul'Gurub and Zul'Aman are being revamped and added to the game.  Check out their Loot Lists here so you don't make any stupid purchases over the next 3 weeks. (Valor conversion will occur in Patch 4.2, not 4.1!)

Patch 4.1 will also feature guild challenges (whatever the hell those are), new vanity items, and a stunning new reason to level Archaeology.  The full notes are here.

The hosts discuss Loot systems: +1, DKP, EPGP, & Gold DKP.  Tell us the experiences you've had with loot systems, which one you think is best, and if you can design a better loot system, we're all ears.

Initiate status in a guild: Is it necessary for progression or another sneaky way to screw the new people out of loot?  The hosts discuss that topic quite civilly.

Ryan mentions Kalytha's Haunted Locket, purchased from Tex Vortacoil in Azshara.  Just another way to make your guildmates say: WTF!

Game theory: where mathematics meets people.  Is it possible to really cooperate with our competition?

Remember to follow us on Twitter @WarcraftLounge, and join our Facebook page here.  We're always available for comments and questions, and don't hesistate to whisper us in game.

Whetehr you are hardcore or casual, thanks for listening to our podcast.  Just a reminder, we mention any and all 5-star iTunes reviews on our next episode, so help us out and let the iTunes community know if you're enjoying the podcast.

What saying," Hi all, I've never tanked heroics before," gets interpreted as.

Hi listeners,

Wecome back to the Warcraft Lounge.  Big news this week as the 4.1 patch notes have hit the internet.  We apologize for only being able to skim them on this episode, as they were released the day we decided to record the podcast.  More information to come down the road, but changes they are a comin' and we're here to help you through them.

Rule of Thumb: If your buff food exceeds the price of the Mysterious Fortune Card or the Fortune Cookie, buy the Card/Cookie.

As far as the economy is concerned, Ryan & Chris talk about what you can do now to prepare yourself for money making when 4.1 goes live.  Word of the day: Upgrades.

Ryan tackled the bear that is archaeology; how to make it easier, how to make it faster, and how to actually make it profitable!  Don't forget, get the addon Archy if you don't want to spend hours screwing around at the dig sites.  (Ryan is now up to 17 rares, having hit 525 Archaeology a week ago.)

The hosts talk about the holy trinity of how to keep yourself from getting kicked: Etiquette, Competence, & Padding Your Resume.

We talk about the classes that should have dual spec NO MATTER WHAT!  (No excuses: pay the money, get the glyphs, and know your role, Jabroni.)

Much discussion, much arguing, and Ryan actually Bloodlusts at one point.  Thanks again for listening, please feel free to comment and give us a good review on iTunes (we'll mention you on the next podcast if you do!), and post your questions below if you want direct answers from us.

Dualspec.jpg Learn to be this, and you can save yourself seven days of your life.  Seven.

[Podcast editing in progress]

Chris and Ryan discuss the most efficient and reliable way to shorten your queue time with this simple question?

What's better than one spec?  Two.

The Five Most Important Words to You While Gearing up Your Dual Spec: Can I need for OS?  (Feel free to cut & paste, and /p macro it.)

P.S. If you want to learn how to heal or tank or even dps, find someone you know is good at healing or tanking or dps and look at their armory.  Then feel free to ask them about their character.  I've used the forums at Elitist Jerks, and clicked on the character sheet of the people posting the most intelligent stuff; it takes you to their armory page.

Credits for this amazing 'buff map' must go to someone named heltonagusto, and a select group of people that have put together an accurate representation of all the buffs in the game.  If only they had abilities like Bloodlust, Hysteria of Ancient Kings or Timewarp set up in the same kind of format?

Do you keep decursive and healbot up if you're dps?  Find out which host does, and which host doesn't.

Can you kill a trade troll?  Our hosts ponder that imponderable and the other mysterious, inscrutable wonders of Trade Chat.

Auction Profit Master is dead.  TradeSkillMaster is King!  LONG...LIVE...the KING!

Addon of the Week: Altaholic.  This won't make you a better dps, tank or healer but it will make you a much better player.

Yay or Nays: God Bless premanufactured controversy.

Will you please tell a friend about us?  Please.  We're asking you now, personally.  We want to keep doing this, and can step it up with blog posts and in the future downloadable economic spreadsheets like the one Ryan is using right now if and when the numbers bear it out.  We can probably make meaningful spreadsheets on a continual basis because we're both finance majors capable of making some fairly advanced economic spreadsheets, and have a firm understanding of the market and economy in the World of Warcraft.

As steady as this has been, we need a push from you, our gracious listener.  Feel free to link us on your guild forums, and think of it this way: If it makes people money, it will make your guild that much better.  We've been seeing people making crazy money using the tips we're putting up here, and when people have extra money they can buy crafted epics, boEs, and get the premier gems, enchants and flasks.  We're on totally unlimited bandwith, so any additional hits come out of Podbean's pockets, not ours.  We'd love to reach more ears, and hopefully those ears get better with what they do, and the more people we can reach, the better the podcast and soon to be blog can be.  That's win-win, imo.

Also, Chris and I have been getting bombarded with whispers this week from three camps of people: people who were already crafting and got better, people who were farming and converted to crafting (and believing after making more money crafting), and those who maintained despite evidence that farming was the better way.

I wish there was some way to preserve all those messages, but there isn't so I am asking all the crafters to please share them with the farmers now.  Anyone who was crafting or started crafting, please post in the comments on what the last two weeks have been like for you if this podcast has helped in any way.  We'd love to see what the hell worked and what didn't.  Maybe if something didn't work out, we can help you work on an alternate solution (we're that confident.)

Seriosuly, feel free to turn this into the Donald Trump meets Scrooge McDuck gold-pile competition and share it with us here.  Be specific with your numbers, because 'I made lots' sucks really badly as a post and should be mocked.  Share with the community what worked so you can prove right the iconic words of Wall Street's Gordon Gekko when he said,"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good.  Greed is right.  Greed works.  Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures, the essence of the evolutionary spirit."

The rest of the server may not know it, but the glyphs, gems, armors, weapons and enchantments don't actually make themselves, and the server would have none whatsoever without the crafters; help us help you by letting us know what info helped, what sucked, and what else we could deliver.

Thanks, as always, for listening,

Ryan (Lohrdook/Stilleiro - Hydraxis, Dynam - Gilneas) & Chris (Drakkmur/Doobee - Hydraxis)

[Old Bean's Birthday Note: Seriously, Fogo De Chao is the best.  If you think it's kosher to exchange fifty bucks for the privilege to be set loose like Mr. Burns's hounds upon thirteen different, uniquely amazing cuts of meat you're ever likely to devour, all-you-can eat in a high class setting, then you will like this place.  Tips: The salad bar is a Sarlacc-pit for fools and girlfriends, but you do have to go up there to get a plate.  Get up, get it, put nothing on it, and walk it back to the table like it's your freshly printed identity disc.   They give you a coaster, and as long it's green side up, waiters keep showing up with these amazing cuts on skewers, and will literally chop them off for you at the table onto your plate, like some sort of crazy meat sculpture trick.  Oh, and it never stops, and you can't understand a single word they say because they're mumbling and foreign, but what they're holding usually speaks for itself so it's never a problem.  The Filet Mignon guy looks like he's holding a 3 pronged trident; flag him down every time.  Once you decide the mountain in front of you is sufficient for this go-round, you flip it red side up.  No mas, no mas .  Please, sir, don't judge me too harshly for this, but if ffs could you please stop bombarding me with meat we'd get along a lot better.  Also, I don't know how many Weight Watcher points this place is, but I'm guessing it's epic.  I don't know the scale they use at all, but I'm going with 42.]

The title of this guide, is completely redundant.

Links in Progress:

Welcome back listeners,

This week Chris and Ryan talk about farming, and how it might be the worst activity you can do in game.

The Holy Trinity of making Money: Auction Profit Master, Auctionator & Postal.  Go to Curse, and get them now.

Ryan and Chris share their horror stories in the LFD tool, and Ryan explains why he's done with random guild groups. (Other people's guilds, not his own.)

Weigh in on the debate: Is rolling need on an Epic BoE item in a heroic being a ninja?

More 4.0.6 changes; the patch hasn't hit yet so they're still in flux.

We ask the question: Sub 5k dps...should you queue up for heroics?

All this in more, in Episode 11 of the Warcraft Lounge!

Remember, if you like what we're doing, please tell guild mates, post the link to the show on your guild pages, and/or leave comments on our page or the WoW Insider Weekly Podcast roundup. We appreciate and are humbled by every compliment we get, and if you have any topics or ideas for the show, we'd love to hear about it.

Thanks for listening,

Ryan (Lohrdook - Hydraxis) & Chris (Drakkmur - Shandris)

According to Chris, this is perfectly normal, perfectly healthy behavior.

Hi listeners,

This week, Chris and Ryan report back on their Arena adventures.  Did they get destroyed, or are they well on their way to shiny new epics?

The hosts break down the heroic changes in patch 4.0.6; despite what you might be thinking not every boss got nerfed.  See the full notes here.

Blizzard released two blogs this week, one regarding Tol Barad and the other regarding heroics.  We love the refreshing honesty contained within, and react to both postings.

With a little bit of flour, turn the Mysterious Fortune Card into the Fortune Cookie

Chris and Ryan get into a bit of a disagreement regarding what's an acceptable undercut for the AH.  There is much talk of economics, substiution, and the real value of one copper.

Here's an example of an item on Wowhead that is currently live: Unheeded Warning and the PTR version

Chris mentions a nifty addon for those who raid or do heroics: Tidy Plates.  Never lose track of that pesky boss again.

Thanks again for listening, please leave comments here or on WoW Insider's Weekly Podcast Roundup page, and as always, feel free to contact us in-game.
